About Rachel MA, RPC, Dipl. Psych. Astrol.

Born by the waters of the great river Rhine in Switzerland, Rachel first trained in horticulture and she worked in these fields for the next decade and a half in various setting and countries. She also volunteered for many years in intentional and international communities before returning to formal education at the beginning of the new Millennia.

Her studies took her to England, where she gained a Diploma in Psychological Astrology with the world-renowned Centre for Psychological Astrolgy (Liz Greene's School). During this time Rachel also took courses in Existential Psychology and Counselling.

Following those years Rachel enrolled in a program with the Society for Psychology and Healing in London, which led to an MA in Psychotherapy (by Middlesex University). This course integrated Jungian psychology with psychodynamic and humanistic models, and combined psychotherapeutic insights with spiritual and wholistic practices.

Her dissertation was called "Shadow and the Archetype of Saturn", exploring the 'unpopular' shadow side of the human psyche, and linking it to the principles and cycles of Saturn.

Rachel complemented her understanding of counselling and psychotherapy with many shorter courses and seminars to learn about a range of different approaches and models. An NLP Foundation course, Guided Imagery Seminars, and the foundation training with Hospice are just some examples of her avid interest in all things psychological and therapeutical.

Rachel returned to Canada in 2009 and now lives in the Vancouver area.

She is a member of the Canadian Association of Professional Counsellors and the Association of Professional Astrologers International.
